When can I register for Holland Little League? – Holland Little League registration will begin the first few weeks of January and close the middle of February of each year. We make every effort to ensure all players will be placed on a team during normal registration dates. Late registration is accepted at an additional cost and players are not guaranteed to be placed on a team.

What if I am not available to register my child during the registration dates? – Please reach out to us with an
and we will work with you to get your child registered. Keep in mind that we are not always available to respond immediately so be patient and we will get back ASAP. Registration is a busy time for the league.
How do I know what league my child will be playing in? – Players are placed in leagues based on their age and ability. Ability is assessed during the player assessment draft day. Little League International uses a league age (Baseball, Softball) to determine what league players can play in. Players age 13 and 14 will play in the Junior league. All 12 year old players will play in the Major league. Some 11 year old players will be placed in the Major league based on player assessment. All remaining 11 year old players will be placed in the AAA league. Some 10 year old players will be placed in the AAA league based on player assessment. All remaining 10 year old players will be placed in AA league. All 9 year old players will be placed in the AA league.
My Child has never played before, what league will they start in? – We encourage and support all players who want to play baseball and softball the opportunity to play in a fun safe environment. See “How do I know what league my child will play in” for information on age and ability assessement process. Some special condition will be supported. Please raise any question at registration.
What can I expect from the draft day? – Draft day is where league coaches have an opportunity to assess player’s ability through a series of drills and exercises. Players are encouraged to have fun! Parents are not allowed join their child during the player assessment process. Players are “drafted” by the coaches behind closed doors and information about draft order will not be shared with anyone other than the coaches. Coaches are responsible for ensuring teams are even and fair based on player’s assessment.
When can I expect my child to start playing baseball and softball? – Coaches will start contacting players after the teams have been formed during the draft day event in the Middle of March. Coaches are provided information on field availability and will be responsible for planning practice. Baseball and Softball season games will start during the last few weeks of April and continue through the beginning of June. All Star teams and games are played in June and July.
When can I expect my child to start playing T-Ball? – T-Ball for baseball and softball starts later than the older age leagues. T-Ball teams will be formed at the beginning of May and coaches will start contacting players soon after teams are formed. The T-Ball season will start at the end of May and continue through the month of June.
